Continuously training and improving operational skills

Since 2019 Holo has been with access in H.C. Andersen Airport, located at Funen outside Odense, to send drones into the airspace. We call this site our training site, since we have continuously been able to obtain permissions to fly different drones, in different heights, for different purposes. In coordination with others who use the airport, we can try our procedures for better future mobility in the air here and also train our pilots to fly different types of drones.

Through most of the year we have activity here every week, where we develop, test, and train all operational procedures. Depending on the drone, the project or other, we can both train VLOS and BVLOS flights. It is also possible to train for other sorts of procedures such as different safety training or other relevant operational procedures necessary for during drone operations.

The drones

So far we have been flying drones from three different manufacturers; Lorenz Technologies, Rigitech and very soon we can add Airflight’s crane to the list as well. All projects have different objectives, but at the same time the shared goal of improving operational skills, for implementing drone technology as mobility solutions.
